Literature Text

It's been a dark, lonely night
After staggering through the storm
Like a zombie lost in the apocalypse
The winds challenged the breaking might
Of a poor boy's little heart much torn
Until returning from the aimless trips
Now I sit by the edge of my being
In darkness by the radio light seeing

The DJ speaks of neverending rain
Affirmed by the gusts smacking upon
The windows scattered throughout
Before launching a song about pain
For the beautiful girl long gone
Leaving a lovestruck boy without
Often, does a heart not encounter
The one last dance before it occurs

There's something poetic with modern touch
In front of the light of a singing box
Feeling strangely pensive in my silence
But there is nothing in my clutch
To transcribe the heavy pain that clots
So that I may move from the past tense
The music, it sings straight to me
And here I sit silent, in all my misery
Middle of the night pensiveness.

Ideas that come late at night are usually the most interesting, I'd say.. But in your sleep-deprived state, you are prone to making errors:

"The music, is sings straight to me"

I think you meant to put 'it' instead of 'is' there, yes? Ignoring that little mix-up, you did a wonderful job on this. I truly enjoyed it. :meow:
